The very software used for securing your computer just ripped a gaping hole in your defence.
Introducing the Hidden Norton rootkit, first sony now these.

Its wrong and it winds me up!

well man this what happens the big boys do it on purpose some of them anyway they pay hackers to make virus to bosst their sales that why i never use a comercial antivirus package,its targeted too much....

forget norton... I use to like them but after this, like Sony, they can rot in hell for all I care. My security and my computer applications and my IDENTITY mean more to me than some dumbass company. Think about it... if you use a virus scan tool and you read Norton Antivirus and you installed it... do you think you're going to remove it? I highly doubt it. Congratz Norton for gaining 2nd place in the dumbass hall of fame.

Well, I use norton. THey came out with a patch for it, so i'm good. :)

sorry, any copmpany "experimenting" with rootkits doesn't deserve use... I'll find something better. As for One Care, I used it on my XP system, but I didn't exactly take a liking to it :)

Actually lol norton took a minute to 'define' a rootkit recently, trying to distance themselves from Sony. The claimed the terminology used would be damaging.
