That'd be my guess-
A power supply that is not stable will cause all sorts of mysterious problems.

but check that memory first.
My PSU worked very fine before I change the GFX. I don't know what brand it is, but it's 400W, it's from 2004/05 I guess.

Can we get some temperatures? Northbridge? CPU? Southbridge? GPU? etc etc

What version of the A8n-SLI is it? Premium? Deluxe? I believe the Deluxe had issues with either the southbridge or northbridge fan causing overheating...
MB Asus A8N-SLI Socket 939 Deluxe. Yeea I reset my GPU. Hope these info were enough, 'cause I don't know how to test this temperatures otherwise. >.<

hehe, i think you might need more power. if you just put a new gpu in, and it starts to freeze, it is either the drivers or the psu is choking. there could be other factors, but these are standout ones to start with. try a more powerful psu in the system.

:cc_surrender: you don't have to go psycho on a psu, as Rik (Scara) said the corsair psu's are freakin excellent, and the 550 watt Corsair has nearly twice the power the system you listed needs and won't break the bank :bluerip:

He will then be delighted 'H' :bluerip: I think it was Storm who said that the inside of this PSU has been put together like a Swiss clock, he's right, immaculate precision engineering at its best, rock stable and purrs like a cat :D

I got a CoolerMaster... works fine too. But mainly, make sure it's a stabilized... so it takes out fluctuations of the net-power
