Jeepers, I think the first Linux I tried was Redhat 3.0 or a real old version of Slackware; possibly 2.0 or 3.0 in the days with no graphical user interface for the install.
It has been so long I have almost forgotten...
I am using SuSE 10.1 right now. I tried one of the alphas for 10.2 but I don't like what they did with the menus. I hope they don't keep it in the final version. It is screwy like Vista only worse I think. If you can imagine that!

Mandrake came first for me which was then quickly replaced by SuSE 8.2 which ran like crap! I've currently got an Ubuntu install with KDE 3.5.5 (I got bored and sick of gnome and didnt feel like downloading and installing Kubuntu)
Best SuSE distro was 9.1 for me

First distro was Mepis, then Ubuntu, Suse, CentOS, Red Hat, plus every distro found on Distro Watch. Settled on Fedora Core.
