No, i have spoken to people who say to has no real advantages.

Do you think i should try it and if i did where could i get a copy?

Most definately, you CAN run 32bit proggys with it also and if you use IE, your less likely to be infected with viri, and trojans using IE64

apart from speed advantages, what other advantages are there?

also can i 'upgrade' from 32bit xp or will i have 2 fresh install?

Here's mine without out my vista theme :) My theme's aren't working this time around... there's something wrong with the stupid uxtheme.dll :D
