I am installing different operating systems on my spare computer and i just want to warn you all of linsire.

It sucks...

No power or usability and its basically a poor rip of Windows XP.

Rating - minus 10
Power - minus 10
Interface - minus 10

I gotta agree with Karl and ShadowFox. First of Linspire has so much potential but its biggest down fall is click and run. Charging for certian software that is free is crazy. Linspire the reason for that is that its so easy. Have they ever heard of apt -get?

For no apparnt reason it completly froze when I used it, although the live cd did not do this. One can't use a live CD for the rest of ones life. Shame Linspire you should have had differnt versions for different levels of skill

I like Fedora Core, but I can't figure out how to compile and install drivers for it. And, it's not like the information they give you is any help. It's too much babble, like I know the ins and outs of Linux. I haven't tried Suse, but I'm thinking about it. Does it have good driver support?

Yeah, OK, tc1. You can keep your virus ridden, malfunctioning Piece of crap. I'll be chillin' with some Suse 10 action over here. LOL ;) BTW, Red, I foundt the driver, just didn't know how to compile it, you obst!!!!

LoL, so you can read driver HOW-TOs..?
jkz man, but seriously, Linux is much better in terms of stability and virus and ****..

I'd use it full time if it had better application range (not that I'm saying it's bad, it's good to see lots of GPL etc apps for linux and other platforms)

gamer_pro_2000, that's pretty damn harsh and rude, a comment like that, you know nothing about any of my systems and i'd never say a thing like that about something i know nothing about, hope you feel better. :P
