hey guys, first post on this site, um just a heads up, im a neb so if i post n e thing that is really obvious and dumb....im learning LOL :P....

so im attempting to install windows vista build 5308, but after pressing "Install Now ->" a msg pops up saying "Temporary setup files could not be copied to the C; drive. Setup cannot continue"

...n e ideas y?

it seems either your DVD wasn't burned properly or ISO is corrupt. Re-download or reburn.

On rare occasions this can happen for no reason. The same DVD may work in another machine.

hey thx, but thats what i thought, so to make sure i put in the windows codename longhorn build 5270 DVD that i burned b4 (im currently running on LH-5270 from this DVD), and i recieved the msg... that means the problem is most likly on my comp....

As i said, some pc's just don't work, funny enough it was5270 that failed to work for me despite 5259 and the latest build 5308 working fine.

5308 failed for me on my second pc, I just restarted the install and it worked fine. I think it was telling me there was something wrong with 1 of the files, but 5112 did that for me aswell.
