I just decided i needed a format after 2 years running a single install of windows XP pro

:) <--- that seems to define how my OS was going by the end of friday.... it was so bad my network settings where read only, i could not change my IP or go DHCP without a BSOD and when u boot back up the settings arent changed.

I decided to whip out the action pack for the first time and throw Windows server 2003 R2 X64
Go SP2

Install everything....

Great OS so far tho iv had to fight, scream, Kick, Howl like a midnight wolf to get a small few things installed and running.

Issues

ATI's CCC is very delicate, carefull, u need DotNet FX on first otherwise u need to reinstall
Photoshop CS3 wont install due to OS checks, need to modify an XML file to allow win server 2003
Logitech SetPoint - never resolved this, however lucky the version on the CD installs, but only 1 version upgrade worked so stuck on version 2.47.864

" Unusual Behavour ! Sometimes "

First one was the system network all stopped... not froze just stopped, even Outlook said it lost its connection to exchange for a moment, then came back, lost it and came back for good, alogn with downloads all stopped and it was just plain wierd, lasted approx 30 seconds.

Got a BSOD, SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION about 2 hours ago.

It hasnt happen again, and before the BSOD id been working on my system setup for over 9 hours straight.

I guess i dont have allot to say yet, i know it works and i know im finally putting my Athlon64 to work with 100% of its silicon but what this really means for me in terms of benefits i dont know.

you dont have to mess with a lot of the services and its more user friendly. Get the 180 day trial and try it, see if it resolves your problems

Its actually cheap got mine for 29 bucks US
