What is a simple volume, and what is it good for?

So does that mean i can add to either the C or D partition?

looks like you could make a dynamic out of either or both c and d. do you want to do this? i wouldn't, in case of drive problems or the like, or you wanted to use one for something else, and couldn't because it would be one big drive, as data corruption could/would result. i don't see a need for it, as there are big drives these days.

Ok, thanks MO, This is on a system that is used as our digital printer never saw this drive before until today, when i did a defrag
