I've used skype for talking to someone, but do they hava a messaging system like MSN?

hey nvy. it's what i use to "chat" with friends...text or otherwise. not sure re: comparison in this regard,
but i prefer it 'cause it is a "lite" app :cool2:

Ill have to relook into it :cool2: I've used google-talk, and with a 99% success rate. the voice quality is excellent, and it also has a very samll footprint ( lite). The only problem with it is, you cant send files

i have sent linux distros over skype... :cool2:

I do have skype, but no google-talk, since I couldn't find a Linux version of it...

I don't use skype anymore, because it isn't very common used in my direct surrounding.

To be honest, when one only has 56k dial up skype and Google Talk are both so damn slow

i know this is old thread but ...seeing as tho it has been revived i figured id repspond as im a GTalk user ...

They DO now have File transfer for Gtalk ..apparently no file size limit and any type of file as well as some other features listed Here

Well with using a 56k line, Google Talk defintley gives me less lag
