I'm Cole, the cocker spaniel. I have been living with the humans at two animal shelters for sometime now. The first shelter got me off the streets after I snuck out of my old yard. They fed me and then they neutered me. After I got healed up they sent me to the new shelter. I was minding my own business one day when this big old human came and looked at me. He came back a few days later and got me out of my pen and took me to a room with a box of snacks in it. It was tough, but I didn't eat any of them.....I really love snacks you know. We played and the human told me to sit and to come to him, witch I did. The human then put me back in my pen, I was a sad boy for a while....Till one of the humans here took me for a walk. The human came back the next day and we played in that room for a while again...Still didn't eat any of the snack he offered.
He even let me run up and down the corridor a few times, that was fun! He would call me and I would come running back and sit at his feet. I like this human, he doesn't yell at me or hit me!! 
The humans here at the shelter came in later and told me that the human I was playing with just adopted me, I was so happy I howled. When my new dad,didn't take me home right then I got mad. I chewed my blanky to shreds that night. The next morning, the humans told that because of my cough (kennel cough), I couldn't go with my new dad. I will have to wait till I'm over the cough, then I can go to my new home. The girl humans at the shelter told me that they are going to give me a bath, trim my nails, and give me a hair cut the day that dad comes to get me.
