Microsoft released their latest Internet Explorer yesterday with so called new security features and functionality.

Less than 24 hours have passed and there is already a vulnerability.

A vulnerability has been discovered in Internet Explorer, which can be exploited by malicious people to disclose potentially sensitive information.

The vulnerability is caused due to an error in the handling of redirections for URLs with the "mhtml:" URI handler. This can be exploited to access documents served from another web site.

Test code is readily available and the threat is marked as less critical.

LOL!

Its just computer software. If it can be constructed, it can be deconstructed. You can't blame Microsoft for the losers that sit there all day and just try to find ways to poke holes in the program that would normally never happen with regular use.
Its the morons who try to screw eveyone else over that are to blame. If you can name one piece of software that can not be reverse engineered or likewise, I'd like to hear it.
And please don't say Mac OSX or LINUX, they can be compromised, it's just no one bothers.

BTW This is just a general comment, not a slam against anyone in particular's posts.

No doubt the hacker was holding back. Probably had one ready from IE7beta and unleashed it at the finals release. I wouldn't get all crazed about it. MS is the big target after all. Why throw tomatoes at small potatos like ff when you can make such a big splash splatting MS
