images/news/windows.jpgStarting today MSDN and TechNet subscribers will be able to download Windows Home Server 2011 for testing and evaluation purposes.

Make sure you also check out the Windows Server Solution SDK site, which overviews how to create add-ins that can extend the functionality of Windows Home Server. Also just released is the Windows Server Solutions SDK Installer, a tool that helps you install the Windows Server Solutions SDK. It has Visual Studio 2010 samples and templates that you can use to easily create applications for Windows Home Server 2011.

Holy S____!!!! This post has been up a month and a half. Not one comment? :) Are you all using Windows 8? :D The comments on the blog must be from people with ancient hardware. My initial install was on a 2T HD. The OS wants 60GB. The rest is for the server folders. Due to the complaints about 3T HDs, I initialized and partitioned mine on a Win 7 x64 rig. It was recognized easily when transferred to the server in full capacity on my P8 H67-M Pro..

I used one of my keys on an Asus P8H67-M Pro. All Win 7 drivers were recognized. Device Manager shows all devices functional. My second and 3rd installs were on the Asus P8P67 Pro and P8P67 Deluxe. On the P8P67 Pro, the Intel Ethernet was not recognized. Installation completed with a USB wireless adapter even though that is not supposed to be allowed. ;) Too the Bluetooth driver could not be installed. On the Deluxe, The Real tech Ethernet installed so the Intel Gigabit Pro was not necessary. The Bluetooth driver also failed to install. Asus useless support says Server OS' (even thought they are for home use) are not supported by these boards. :chriso:
