Firefox or internet explorer?

Which one is the best and for what?

Today the MOST important thing for everyone is security, how many programs do you need to stop those viruses, how many patches to stop hackers taking advantage of the holes in IE?

Firefox is BY FAR the best one for the job!

Today people want to feel protected and safe, it took till SP2 for MS to implement the pop-up blockers and Active X control notifications...Firefox has that right there already in their browser.

The result? Security!

So next is the look, at the minute IE6.0 is NO-WHERE as nice as the Firefox browser, people love the tabs that stop all those cluttering windows...taking sometime for MS to catch up with that and although in it's early stages, IE7.0 is by no means impressive...to be honest it seems more of a Firefox rip!

I dunno at this moment in time which browser I prefer. I love Firefox but I also love IE7. I'll wait for IE7 and Firefox 1.5 to come out before I make my final decision

Honsetly, I prefer the MSN Explorer lol, but that's because I love the MSN Messenger, the Outlook Express add-in, but In this choice I'd have to say I prefer Firefox!

I downloaded Firefox because I was worried about the security risk with IE.
My last full system virus scan picked up some adware in Firefox and nothing in IE!

Maybe its time to try Opera :P

the security risks associated with ie are more due to the fact that is has a lot of pluggable options that are not available in firefox and therefore not a risk in firefox (e.g. activex). of course the fact that most people use ie and therefore viruses/exploits are mostly written towards ie doesnt help a lot either.

firefox works great.. especially the tabbed browsing, but i still prefer ie because of its integration into the rest of the xp shell and how quickly it'll open up a window when i click its icon :P

i really do like opera, though the simplicity of FF has it's merrits, but in vista
it's IE all the way, as i go all simple over the purdy colors :)

I know there are better ones, but for some reason I'm still with IE.
