I think without Microsoft we'd be lost, SERIOUSLY!

99% of the stuff we discuss is related to them or something they do, whats your opinion about the industry giant?

Unfortunately Karl's right, but I'm not bothered by them... I know that when I get out of college and get started my companies name will be on the tip of everyone's tongue :), well it was a good thought anyway -.-

I'd ahve to say they are a giant, but not friendly as much...

They are trying to monopolize everything, and they are squeezing out competitiors..i mean, give others a chance....

But, they are a CORNERSTONE of computing as we know it.

Microsoft will have a place once more i believe, they got plans to push forward with Media Center stuff, things linux hasn't YET got to, then Bill will copyright some stuff and make it difficult for others to follow without starting from scratch.

I would have to say I like Microsoft. You get all those people that absolutely hate MS, yet they are expressing their hate from a Microsoft system. What does that say?

That's true, I am using microsoft....but for many people who don't know how to use linux or Unix they don't have a choice...mind you, I use Solaris 10, but for everyday use i use Windows...However, I don't like the idea of m$ charging for updates, and they are going down a road many people will not follow...guess we'll have to wait and see.
