I think it looks so '1990's', loathe that interface. :eniparadoxgma:

yes, it's awful, but once you close metro, the familiar gui is there, and is smoother and faster than the win7.

If I looked like the 90s' I'd probably be more up to date than I am now. :cc_surrender:

I'm using it daily for 2 weeks now and it's quite stable and fast (except for some minor Metro apps bugs). I liked the whole thing, but still cant live without the old start menu :eniparadoxgma:

I went to boot up windows 8 this morning and got a "page fault in non-paged area" error.
So I put the installation disc in and booted into repair windows.
The new repair tool is very useful and lets you choose from different levels of repair.
I first tried to repair just the boot files which didn't work.
So I went ahead and let it repair the entire install. It took about 5 minutes and it re-set windows but kept all my files and settings including having the metro turned off. All other programs were deleted however.

Still, I think it will keep from having to format and re-install quite often. If you get a chance boot up the disc and get familiar with the improved repair tool.

it died when i installed my ram drive, so back to win7, though i really like how the window borders are sharp on the ends, and how fast the ui is, along with boot. i'll re install it when it's further along
