I was going through the Crosshair BIOS and there is a setting for "64 bit Memory"
I then googled for a 64 bit memory testing and got the MemTest86.com that notes 64 bit support in one of their upgrade notes.

Does anyone know if memtest86 has 64 bit support?
..... are there multiple makers of memtest?
............. if so, which one is the recommended?

:chriso:

"Native 64 bit support with 64 patterns. With 64 CPUs becoming common a native 64 version of Memtest86 is needed. Test algorithms need to be updated to use 64 and 128 bit patterns. A simple flat memory model can now be used that will eliminate a great deal of complexity and add efficiency."

Thank's.
You suppose I'll see a huge diff in the performance between the two?
I mean with the settings in the BIOS?
I'll have to run Sandra with each to see how much ........

memtest is run from a cd or floppy, it runs before windows starts up, you are best letting it run overnight.
