ASUS F50SF
Intel C2D T6500
4Gb DDR2 800
Nvidia GT220M

Today my brother's lappy, started acting stupid. It would have color graphics during boot and on the log in page. But after logging in on any of the two accounts (password protected) it goes to b@w desktop. I creasted a guest account and I have color on the desk top. I haven't updated the nvidia drivers in a while. But I'm thinking this isn't the issue. I think there's some spyware/malware on the loose. Does this diagnosis sound good?

problem solved. Apparently ASUS lappy's don't like you to use anything but the default drivers. Any other driver makes the card quit I guess. I just reverted back and it has it's color back.

thats really odd, one account gives you B/W, the guest does not? thats not a driver problem imho
