For those of you too young to remember Windows 3.1, you still have a chance of getting the feel of it by using your own web browser. Cruise the Internet, play Mindsweeper and more.

It even emulates the processor speed of a 8086 and modem speeds. See it HERE

and for those of you who cant get enough of Vista, You can emulate that HERE

Enjoy! :cc_surrender:

shee-it, one of my most fervent memories is being ~ 10 years old and seeing my dad's handwriting show up on our Kaypro's little 3.5" monochrome screen from a fax he had just sent from Chrysler to our first computer. It had a "Fax Modem"! 2400 baud. Two floppy drives, text-based games I'd buy from shareware festivals in Frankenmuth, MI. So, so, cool for the time.

Wasn't real conscious of the price of computers back then but it's apparent now that those things must've been crazy expensive. My family didn't get another computer until '94 or so. It was really cool though----it had Doze 3.1 and we had AOL for quite a few months. Still remember the AOL "dashboard" that bragged "World Wide Web Coming Soon." AOL was awesome in those days though---I managed to hook up with Phish and Grateful Dead "forums" or whatever, newslists, and got a ton of live cassettes on trade for cash, CD's, etc. And you could actually 'chat,' via text, with people all over the country! Good times.

My brother was 15 when he got his first computer with Win 7 :)

I was maybe 10 when we got my uncle's used 386. I used to play Dune 2 a lot. And The Incredible Machine! God that was fun. Since then, had a used Pentium 166Mhz, then later a brand new Athlon 900Mhz when it was the top in 2001 I think. After that, I've built my own stuff, starting with a Athlon 64 3000+ in 2005. But man, I gotta play Dune 2 again.
