It has taken a long time for old faithful NT4 to drop out of the server arena and in many places its still the only solution.

What factors do you think made an operating system last so long, it is lacking a nice theme, the interface is basic and some now simple operations are more complicated.

Will the jump from Server 2003 to Vista Server take as long?

Yes, I think so, server 2003 is VERY popular, people will not get rid of their $1000 copy as readily.

Ah, but some of us got a trial COUGH and COUGH...

My old school had illegal installs all over the place and their product key matched mine, its the key at the top of the blacklist.

Even server was illegal there.

I even helped install sometimes :o

what kind of trial did you get? Vista Server? If so, do share :P

I hope 2003 stays a LONG time, I love the os, it's been my favorite EVER, I use to prefer 3.1 till 2000 came about, then XP took a while to catch on and 2003 it just clicked :)
