Whats your name?
Simon T. Erkelens
Where are you from?
Enschede, the Netherlands
Exact location can be found through the Flexbeta Frappr! map
as a Dutchy (strange huh? most ppl call it "Holland", officially, it's called "the Netherlands" and we speak Dutch, and we are "Dutch people") I'm a beer lover appearantly (which I also am) and a little bit crazy in the head. If you have a problem with that, you are allowed to complain
What's your day like?
I'm a student, I sometimes have college (or I have officially and I don't go). Also, I work in a local pub here at the bar. The spare time between study and work I spend at Flexbeta or here. And, once everywhile when I feel like it, upgrading my computer or destroying the OS I got installed with some stupid programming or upgrading action.
Interests?
I'm a sportsman mostly, speedskating, windsurfing, snowboarding. In summertime I love to go backpacking around the globe, wherever me and my travel buddy wish to go. We travel by thumb and foot then. (This year, we're going to Eastern Europe).
Further, I'm sorta religious, but not really into that... maybe I should do that more... We'll see...
Also, I'm a huge Linux addict and I sometimes get a load of comments about that because for some reason the members from Flexbeta think I let that influence my news-posting job there.
And, as you might guess, I'm pretty much into technology, development and all that's related to it.
What is your role at X64bit.net?
I'm a Moderator with Clarky3429 and Serb-Man. Nvyseal asked me to join the staff here, probably based on my Flexbeta job. Can't say much about this yet... I only just began. All I can say is that we (as in we mods/admins) can't do the job without members!
Where do you see X64bit.net in two years?
Good question. I think it's going to be big. Real big, as long as it's clear that this is a good internet community, with knowledge, virtual (or even real) friendship and clearly, a good atmosphere.
Where do you see yourself in five years?
I don't think ahead that much... I'll take a shot though. I think I'm going to be living somewhere else in the world, a different country, have a great job and a good life... but we'll see!
Is there anything that you want to say?
Just remember, there's a solution to every problem. If there isn't a solution, it's not a problem, it's a fact.
If you need help with either Linux or something else I might know a thing or three of, you can always ask. Just PM me!
Thanks for taking the time to write this thing here
You're welcome, but could you shorten the questions a bit... my hands are almost falling apart and my keyboard already did by now!
