Link.

(snip) "On Oct. 1, the cable company will update its user agreement to say that users will be allowed 250 gigabytes of traffic per month, the company announced on its Web site." (snip)

:) How long for a "bandwidth-used" desktop widget to come down the pike?

What!? I thought everyone had traffic limits! My previous internet plan allowed me 1GB DL and 1GB upload. That was ridiculous, now I have 20GB each way. 250GB, this doesn't even qualify for a limit! :surrender:

Not widgets, but here you go

What im finding interesting is what is blockbuster, netflix, joost, and sony PS3 thinking about this. Movies on demand are supposed to be the in-thing. Im sure you can chew through 250gb pretty quickly watching movies, or is this Comcasts way of deterring users from online sources vs their PPV/Subscription service.

Sure looks like that's what they're trying to do.

Thanks for bringing that up Tweak---I was wondering how much bandwidth is used by a gamer. Anyone know if there's a formula or a list somewhere of how avg. bwidth is used by popular online games?
