i assume it will fit in my server case, though i bet i won't be able to have anything in the bay opposite the card...

Yeah, that is exactly what I am worried about MO!! Hopefully, the lower spec. versions are smaller. I don't have the money to get the high end one. Unless, someone wants to donate to the chris ati memorial foundation.

Well, it won't fit in my case. The only way I could do it was if I took out my HD cage. Which then I don't have anywhere to put all four of my Hard Drives. So, I guess I am going to have to find a smaller card. The longest I can fit is about 10 inches.

my mobo is an eatx, it's about the width of the card, so i'll have a couple inches to spare...
