Lets have some fun!!
If you could build yourself a new computer, MONEY NO OBJECT, what would you build.
Rules:
You have to post links to the hardware and give the description.
You have to post the complete system, Including the RAM, HDD, GPU, CASE, GPU, CPU, Opticals and the quantity.
You would have to let us know what OS(S) you plan on using on this system
At the end of listing your system specs, it would be nice to know the estimated price, so over time we can look back and see how our technology has changed, in US dollars if possible.
Please edit your original post if you change your hardware throughout your build
Who wants to be first??
Build your own dream Computer

this is not meant to be an "if cost were no object" kinda build (more of a "fit a cool upgrade into budget" build...):

a couple of these:

and some of this (i can't get over the price! buffered/ecc usually means lots of $$$...):

Beast Hybrid Fury
All one ever needs
although I could build it myself a lot cheaper
I'd up the storage to 4 x 1Tb Seagate RAID 0.
I'd change the RAM to PC8500 (not the amount, as 2Gb is more than enough for any system, apart from Bloatista)
I'd extend cooling to the GPU and Northbridge.
Throw in 2 of Samsungs 30" beasts, and that will do me
Then on would go my copy of Windows XP Pro SP2
