images/news/bittorrent.jpgFollowing many speculations and possible lawsuits, Demonoid, the largest BitTorrent tracker, has officially shut down. It states on there site that the CRIA (Canadian Recording Industry Association) threatened the company that was renting the servers to them, hence leading to Demonoid choosing to close its doors. Over the past 6 months, Demonoid has been involved in a lot of controversy from the recording industry, and unfortunate for some people, the Recording Industry won. You can read further into Demonoid here and get a little more info about the dismantling at TorrentFreak.com.

These Bittorrent trackers are going down like cheap hookers.

I swear to god, I wish we could convince the RIAA and the MPAA that Bin Laden runs a torrent tracker. He'd be done in a heartbeat.
