Congratulations and welcome to the Windows Live Betas!

We are pleased to inform you that you've been accepted into the Windows Live beta program! Here's your opportunity to try out some exciting new software before its public release, and to help shape the future of Windows Live.

As part of this select group, you get an exclusive preview of Windows Live Messenger, Windows Live Mail, and Windows Live Writer. Your role as a beta tester is important to us. Participating in the Windows Live beta program means you'll have the first chance to try out new features and products. And, by including you in the development process, we can make sure that these products not only function properly but also meet the needs of our customers.

To get started in the beta program, please follow these steps:

Visit http://connect.microsoft.com.
Click on My Participation on the left navigation menu.
Select Windows Live Beta in the list.
You're in!
Check the setup testing scenarios before downloading any beta product.
Follow the testing scenarios and install the Beta Products by clicking the Download button on each product's learn more page.
Now you are ready to test the product.
If you are new to Microsoft Connect, we recommend that you familiarize yourself with the Web site and tools. A great place to get started is the Get Started tutorial located in the Quick Links (on the right side of the web page). There, you'll find instructions and lots of other useful information, such as the Bug Guide, which is a fantastic resource for submitting bugs and for finding answers to commonly asked questions.

In the Feedback section of Connect, you'll see both the Bug and Suggestion forms for each product. If you find a problem with the product, you'll want the Bug form. If you just want to suggest a new feature or function that you think might make the product better, then you'll want the Suggestion form. Before you submit your feedback, please click on Search Feedback and verify that your problem is not already in the database.

When you're ready, go ahead and download and install one or all of the available applications on your computer. Try them out, put them through the paces, and let us know what you think. Also, please check back often for information about updates, testing scenarios, surveys, and beta chats with the product teams.

Thanks again for taking the time to participate in the Windows Live beta program. We look forward to hearing from you!
