I was pondering the 4800+ Brisbane (2.5) as I've found plenty of support that it clocks well.
And for $100 less than the 6000+, it still hits the same speeds ....?
....least in the reviews.

I could build the system with that and upgrade to the quad later
AND the best part, the wife don't know nada about what's in the box. If she can't see it, it didn't cost ;)
That's gotten me through for a few years now :rofl:

But I don't wanna plunk down $$ on a mobo till the AM2+'s roll.
The nVidia 590 is ~ a year old. I'm betting on late June / early July for thier new chipsets to be on the street.
The next AMD/ATI chipsets should start rolling later this mo.
.... but the only ref I've seen is for the video on board versions :pray: and I do like to pick and choose my own GPU ... one with it's own RAM! prefferably ....
