There has been a lot of folks talking about getting a new notebook (acer ferarri) from MS. Most are bloggers.

I'm surprised some are complaining about it.

Hey, in the letter it states, "when your through testing it", which to me is NEVER, you may return the laptop.

I cant believe folks looking a gift horse in the mouth. What are your thoughts??

I think you all miss the fact that most of the bloggers are MAC users...

to be honest, I don't know if I'd keep it, since it seems it's impossible to install anything else then Vista on it. So, I think I'd sell or give it back too, since, I still will prefer Linux. Not that I don't want the laptop, but I want it to run something I can control, not something MS has given me to toy with.

I have seen the same laptop myself, running BleedingEdge Gentoo (Installed by yours truly), which rules the heck out of any OS so far afaic, but well... Vista does just plain suck on it, it's slow and sluggish, even on that system (ok, it wasn't a laptop, but it got close!)

So... I want that laptop, running Linux, or I don't want it. That's the mistake MS made... they sent it out to Mac users, which will eventually prefer mac over all what's there, like I prefer Linux over all what's there
