For all of you that like to "take a sip now and then", here is the ultimate sip. Going on the block in the UK is a bottle of Scotch that is somewhere in the neighborhood of 150 years old. It is suggested that the rather small bottle will bring £10,000 which is $19,529 USD. I'm sure that some of our UK members will be happy to enter a bid for any of our non-UK members. This is a once in a lifetime bottle. Hurry and get your ticket and checkbook and head to the UK...talker.

Yes, very costly and the chances are that the bottle will never be opened. Once opened, all the value is gone. I don't think I could resist. I would have to try it. When I did partake, it was The Glenlivet or Glenfiddich for me, on the rocks...talker.

I dont think anyone would pay $20,000 for a scotch and not drink it.. i would drink the whole thing

some guy paid an arm and a leg for original absinthe, so he could duplicate its recipe

you used to be able to buy old egyptian beer, which was limited and pretty expensive, and apparently tasted a lot better then the beer we drink today

Posted ImageNaw, give me a bottle of Bertani that was part of a hidden stash in a cellar wall back in WWII or WWI (cant remember). It has aged PERFECTLY and from what i remember, they do not sell it at all, it is priceless. I believe the Queen of England got a case or maybe just a bottle as a gift from them.

Now i need to do some research and find out more about that wine i saw.

i think its kool nowadays theres a large selection of alcohol, finnish vodka, russian vodka, swedish vodka, etc, etc

lets not forget beer like heineken

you can buy beer that has been aged say 10 years, never bothered to buy any, im sure whiskey thats 150 years old is worth it, but by the time its all gone, you'll prolly be so sad to not be able to drink it anymore
