That would be stupid to build a new coaster then sell the park that same year. Then again, they did that to Opryland in Nashville several years ago - built the Hangman, and closed the park the next year to build a giant outlet mall...

- at least 35000 jobs would be lost particularly in the same city that would be tearing it down in, meaning all sorts of economic effects.
- It would cost MORE to tear down all the rides in order to make it into land.
- The land sucks, its stinky, bad terrain, and there's concrete as deep as 20+ feet down.
- It's been around for 35 years and it's basically the only tourist attraction in the cities around it.
So hopefully someone good will buy em, someone with more money anyways.

Nothing is better then Millenium Force. I cant stand six flags anyways, they need to come up with their own ideas instead of steal rides from other parks.
Three words Top Thrill Dragster.
Yeah they did the same thing here a few years ago. They bought kinda large water park that was near cedar point, i guess thinking they could compete with it. But i dont think they realized they were trying to compete wtih a park that has the most roller coasters in the world, and not only the most but the biggest and fastest, and was voted best park for a few years in a row at that time. Well i'm pretty sure they sold the park back to the orginal owner after one season.
