Sometimes, Nic cards, audio sometimes, video is convient, HOWEVER audio and video have downfalls, but modems, nics, usb ports, and serial ports are all nice to have on board 
but I like it better to completely customize when I do customize.

I normally look for mobos with integrated LAN, Moden and Sound.

I get any mobo I can get but the only thing I crave on it is lan and usb

i dont, because it restricts the choice of parts hevily, and if one components dies, so does all the others (unless you have a degree in microelectronics and are really good at soldering). by buying them seperately, your range is increased heaps and if somthing fails, others parts are still fine
