Its that time of year again and fairs are popping up all over the US. Most of the food served is FRIED.

* Fried Avocado
* Fried Twinkies
* Fried Froglegs
* Fried Oreos
* Fried Apples
* Fried Zucchini
* Fried Rice
* Fried Spam

and then you have your normal staple: Corn dogs, French fries, Piggly wigglies, Chicken etc.

This leads to an interesting question,

What is your favorite fried food?

For me, Fried Chicken and Fries. I'm traditional unlike Roady who probably enjoys those exotic things such as "fried wine on a stick"

Has anyone ever tried those wierd oddities?

My favorite is fried Lake Perch. For weirdness, I've eaten fried Muskrat. It was pretty good!

Interesting, what does muskrat taste like? My grandma is from the south, possum, frog legs, sardines, all were her favorites

Tastes like duck to me. It seemed pretty rich but since it was fried it was hard to tell how much was from the meat.

But I do enjoy some wine with Fried Zucchini!!

(It's allot easier to get than the Fried Squirrel also) :)

Squirrel is delicious! Never had it fried but roasted on a stick over a pine fire----kinda tough but dayum, it tastes good.

2nd favorite fried food has to be chicken-fried steak. Skillet, not deep-fried. Does that count?

This thread is making me hungry!

Man, I don't get it. You get hungry talking about that? I find it disgusting. Sorry but I really don't understand the point of getting everything fried, soooo much fat.
