Sony mulls dropping PS4 plans

images/news/sony.jpgThe maker of exploding batteries, Sony seems to be backing away from future developments in the game console industry.

As the PS3 fails to win hearts and minds, some pundits are saying that Sony wants to bottle out of the console market which is costing it an arm and a leg.

The Nikkei Financial Daily reported that Sony is planning to sell off the manufacturing lines that make the Cell processor to Toshiba. However this was denied by Sony which instead made the cryptic remark that "no deal has been decided".

Pure speculation without any facts courtesy of the Inq. I don't believe it one bit. I don't expect a PS4 in less than 5 years from now, but it'll happen.
