From QT, Chicago SunTimes.

The Yellowstone Caldera (the eruptions of which can be violent enough to send a layer of ash six feet deep as far away as Chicago and which erupts every 600,000 or so years and last erupted 640,000 years ago) Update:

Earthquakes increased 11 percent during June.

Researchers said the earthquakes and seismic uplift continue to be "scientifically interesting."

Have a great night!! :(

Ok guys, let's not argue. There'd be enough ash to destroy pulmonary systems on all 3 coasts, if you consider the Mississippi River one of the coasts. :(

Hehe, I like my Quebec. We have Mount Royal in Montreal (the name of the city is obviously derived from the mount's name) but it's completedly cooled down. I guess having an active volcano in your backyard is exciting but I prefer to live and watch Americans die ! Mwaahaaha ;)

Heh, you know I'm joking, I like you guys :(

Still, that would be cool... like that bad movie Volcano...

Update from QT, Chicago Sun-Times:

(In the Caldera) Earthquakes increased 24 percent in June after increasing 11 percent in May.

No. Don't jump to any conclusions. All this shows is that Yellowstone is "currently restless," while the chances of anything happening remain "remote."

Can we move on now?

(I guess May had the 11 percent increase, not June as the OP says.)
