Yup, we have a huge antenna like that in our atic so we can get our HD signal like that!! I agree, the picture is way way better then what Directv can do!! They do cost some money though, I think ours was a few hundred bucks. The age of antenna's is not over yet!!

i think I might check out where everything is in vipers neighbourhood when Im living there... he already gets free cable... hdtv is awesome though for hockey games...lol now if they only played hockey on tv more in the states... id be one happy lil canuck...lol
Plus a one time fee for anything.. is better than paying a monthly service. My biz is all about showing people how n wear to save people money so they can pay off their debt and get into "smart debt". (only to keep their credit standing good) If its really as good as it says... I just found another thing for clients to check out.
who says nothing good ever comes for free?
lol

...one of the bennies of living in or near a large urban area. yep, even though the hd signals are digital, they are much "bigger" than standard def digital ones, so an outfit like directv and cable providers will have to do some compression to get it all in there

This is interesting. It also gives me another reason not to throw away anything in my garage. The last time I cleaned out the garage I tossed a nice big antenna, mast, and roter w/control. Now I'm beating myself about the head

Well, don't feel bad bluerip. You have to have a special antenna to get the HD. At least we have a special one.
