I actually can lick my elbow, because I can disconnect my shoulder, and then move my arm 3 inches back. Exactly what I need to lick my elbow.

I discovered I could disconnect my shoulders the first time I tried to lick my elbow.

No, I'm not gonna do it and tape it, because it hurts like h*ll to disconnect my shoulder!

Most of these are urban legends and not true at all.

Golf was originally called Gowf in Scotland. The origin isn't known. (I wrote a paper about it in Golf class last semester.)
Coca-Cola has always been dark brown. (Caramel gave it it's color.)
The face cards in a deck of cards don't represent real people.

Those are all the ones I know off the top of my head, but others can be Googled.

I did not know that :cool2: . Someone sent them to me and just found it to be a fun read. Let me know if anyone finds anymore that are just urban legends.

Learning about the origins of the urban legends themselves is interesting. Snopes.com is a good resource for that.

Quick search yields these:
http://www.snopes.co...ronyms/golf.asp
http://www.snopes.co...ld/cardking.htm
http://www.snopes.co...elore/green.asp
http://www.snopes.co...tary/statue.htm

(Also, my favorite show on TV is Mythbusters. Although they deal more with urban legends involving large explosions. Great show...)

If you like mythbusters, you should start studying applied physics.... I blow up stuff all the time :cool2:

E.G.
you know those PVC tubes you use to shoot paper darts with? Well, we made that too, but with a compressor, like their chicken gun.

After all the paper darts, we started shooting wooden.... even more fun.

And eventually, we made hollow, wooden darts, stuffed them with gunpowder and some small gravel to make them go boom.... There are still black burnmarks on the wall in the workplace of my school
