I noticed that my Seagate SATA-II HD (SATA-1 compatible mode) doesnt work properly when the system is highly overclocked. :scara:

Actually my CPU is @ 250 x 9 = 2250 MHz and no prob, but above that (like 267 x 9 = 2400 MHz) i oftenly have probs... :bluerip:

The HD is detected, i can see it when the SATA bios is loaded, but it is unable to boot .... very odd is that it doesnt happen always ! :crazy:

Did someone have similar issues ?

Its the Via chipset, certain early models didn't have locking SATA bus. So overclocking the system also overclocks the SATA bus an it can not handle it.

If its availible you could find the board with the Nvidia chipset, personally I would move away from the Asus as well, but any NF4 Ultra board would be good. They have locking sata bus an the sata drive is seen with no F6 drivers makes it convient, plus they have SATA II support.

Edit, I believe it would have to be the NF4 Ultra chipset or newer, such as SLI.

Well, i think i can live with that... i dont want to spend money with this rig anymore, my efforts now are for the new one im gonna build ... :scara:
