I have charter communications (cable) at home. I am not very pleased with them. DL speed is good, but upload is not 3.0/256. Unfortunately they are the only way to get high speed, as Verizon does not offer it in my area. My connection frequently goes down, (I lost it last night, and it was down for 5 hours.) and with that, I also loose my Phone service. (I have VoIP).

Who do you have and How does your Internet Service Provider perform for you?

I use a local company called Tel-Star at my home, and I use Comcast cable at my school apt in Chicago. Both run well, however Comcast is kinda slow with service responses!

I have Midcontinent Communications the only Cable provider in the ND, SD area, so we dont have much choice the DSL around is terrible. I get 8mb download, an 256k upload. Since moving to this small town I am very lucky to get more the 6mb down, however in the previous place I lived I frequently got 8mb.

Charter here also and it doesn't go down too often but does at times slow too much, up and down speeds aren't too impressive at times although I have the 3mb service and pay $39.99 a month.
